Job summary

Scribe seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design scalable data ingestion and processing systems and to ship end-to-end product experiences across Django backend and NextJS frontend.

You will work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery, deploying in AWS via Terraform, and bring engineering best practices to daily work, from code quality to system design.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer who loves building application code and scalable distributed systems. You'll help design large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that work alongside our custom AI models, working across our Django backend and NextJS frontend to ship reliable, end-to-end product experiences.

What You'll Do

• Design and build large-scale data ingestion and processing systems that power our custom AI models
• Build and ship full stack features across our Python/Django backend and NextJS frontend
• Work with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Celery to support reliable, scalable background processing
• Partner with teammates to deploy and operate systems in AWS via Terraform
• Bring engineering best practices into daily work, from code quality to system design

What We're Looking For

• You have 5+ years of engineering experience
• You're comfortable working with Python (especially Django) and relational databases
• You're comfortable working with React (NextJS / TypeScript)
• You use AI as part of your everyday engineering work
• You've seen and can implement engineering best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with Celery for executing and scheduling background tasks
• Startup experience

Compensation

Salary varies by location. All full-time employees receive equity in Scribe. Final offers depend on experience and scope.
