Job summary

Unity is seeking a Senior Full-Stack Engineer for the Unified Ads Platform. You will own the service layer supporting campaigns, budgets, ad units, and related systems, building durable data contracts on both backend and frontend.

You’ll design scalable data models, implement event-driven integrations, and deliver user-facing surfaces in React. This role emphasizes ownership of production systems, SLOs, and cross-team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building and operating production software.
• Strong TypeScript and NestJS or similar modular Node backend.
• Strong data modelling and SQL with scale experience.
• Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, or similar and idempotent processing.
• Advanced React with data-heavy UI design and performance.
• Cloud-native operation on Kubernetes with SRE-like practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate services in the TypeScript platform (NestJS) across a large domain model.
• Model entity data for scale and change, including relational schema design and migrations.
• Design and build event-driven integrations with Kafka and Pub/Sub.
• Deliver user-facing surfaces on the platform in React and TypeScript.
• Operate and own what you build on Kubernetes with defined SLOs.
• Drive observability, monitoring, and testing across the platform.
• Set design and code-review standards and mentor engineers.
