Abby Care is hiring a Senior Full-Stack Engineer in San Francisco, CA. You will design and build core platform features, owning the development lifecycle from concept through launch in a healthcare-focused AI-powered environment.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams spanning operations, clinical, compliance, and product, leading technical excellence and exploring AI-driven, secure systems to support family caregivers across America.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Web and API development experience.
• Proficiency with Typescript and Python.
• Experience with cloud architectures (AWS).
• Bachelor's degree in CS or related field preferred.
• Product development experience preferred.
• Healthcare industry or startup exposure preferred.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced and driven individual to join us as a Senior Full-Stack Engineer. You will report to the VP, Head of Engineering.

Abby Care is redefining family caregiving with AI-powered products and support. In this role, you'll design and build technology that is core to the families we serve and to how Abby Care operates. You will solve challenging technical problems with real-world impact and help shape the product direction and roadmap as a key early engineer.

This is a Full-Time Hybrid opportunity based in San Francisco, California.

What You’ll Work On

• Drive product and platform development. You will take full ownership of the development lifecycle, from concept to delivery. This involves defining project scope based on requirements, performing full-stack development, conducting user testing, and managing launch cycles.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to solve real-world problems. You will partner with teams such as operations, clinical, compliance, product and more, in order to build solutions that work in the real world. You will be a critical voice for articulating technical initiatives to further our mission.
• Lead the team in technical excellence. You will deepen your technical "spikes", be they in product-development, cloud infrastructure, machine learning, or data security, as well as broaden your horizons by building greenfield systems using the latest advancements in AI. You will be challenged to uphold health care industry standards and become an expert in one of the US’s largest sectors.

What You’ll Have

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience with Web and API development
• Experience working with Typescript and Python
• Experience with cloud architectures and platforms such as AWS
• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field is preferred
• Experience with product development is preferred
• Experience in the healthcare industry and at startups is preferred
