Job summary

Rovrstack seeks a Senior Full Stack Engineer to design and build user interfaces and core platform infrastructure that connect with AI-driven features. You’ll scale UIs for patients and practices, and contribute to a multi-modal AI ecosystem across frontend and backend services.

You will drive the technical roadmap, collaborate with product and design teams, and own frontend development from conception to launch, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience crafting and optimizing CSS for complex, responsive web applications with modern UI frameworks
• B.S. in Computer Science or related field; M.S. preferred
• Proven ability to deliver pixel-perfect, high-fidelity implementations from design tools like Figma
• Hands-on experience with D3.js, Chart.js, or similar data visualization libraries
• Knowledge of frontend performance techniques including lazy loading and CSS optimization
• Experience building scalable design systems and reusable UI component libraries
• Knowledge of CI/CD solutions, automated testing, and component-driven UI development
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment technologies like AWS
• Understanding performance optimization when interfacing with AI-driven components and high-volume data
• Proven experience working at scale in fast-paced environments

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Product Managers, designers, and engineers to deliver scalable frontend features using Tailwind CSS and shadcn

• Handle schema design, data modeling (PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Redis) with emphasis on performance and security
• Provide mentorship and contribute as a technical leader on the frontend team
• Maintain high-quality software with rapid incremental releases and reusable components
• Gather feedback from early users to drive continuous frontend improvement

About the Role

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer you will be responsible for designing and building user interfaces and core platform infrastructure that connect seamlessly with AI-driven functionalities. You’ll play a crucial role in our product pipeline, enabling us to scale to serve millions of patients and healthcare practices. This role will involve building and optimizing UIs for both user-facing applications and internal tools, with an emphasis on enabling interaction with multi-modal AI systems.

You will define, drive, and execute the technical roadmap for the team, contributing to the core architecture and infrastructure that will support our products over the next five years and beyond.

What you’ll do

• Design and develop intuitive UIs that integrate with AI models, facilitating seamless interaction between users and intelligent systems using frameworks like NextJS and state management tools (such as Redux or React Context)
• Build intuitive, AI-powered UIs in React while simultaneously architecting the underlying REST/GraphQL APIs and micro-services (Python/FastAPI) that surface model capabilities, ensuring a seamless end-to-end experience.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, designers, and other engineers to craft user-friendly, AI-powered frontend features utilizing Tailwind CSS and shadcn for efficient and responsive styling.
• Architect robust backend systems that can scale to millions to users on day 1.
• From schema design and data-modeling (PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB, Redis) to frontend polish and performance tuning, take accountability for scalability, reliability, security, and observability (OpenTelemetry, Grafana)
• Produce high-quality software with rapid, incremental releases, ensuring consistent, reliable functionality and adopting a component-based approach for maintainability
• Own various aspects of the product, from initial conception to launch, with a focus on scalability, usability, and performance
• Work with early users to understand their needs and gather feedback for continuous improvement, incorporating best practices for frontend development and AI-driven UI
• Provide mentorship, offer constructive feedback, and contribute as a technical leader on the frontend engineering team

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of CI/CD solutions, automated testing, and component-driven UI development
• Hands-on experience with cloud deployment technologies like AWS
• Understanding of performance optimization techniques for frontend applications, especially when interfacing with AI-driven components and handling high-volume data
• Proven experience working at scale and adapting to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to develop scalable and extendable core services that interface with AI or machine learning modules
