Job summary

AutoStore in Atlanta, USA is seeking a senior hands-on full stack engineer to design, build, integrate, and operate software capabilities for the Supervisory Control Platform, with a strong focus on Computer Vision integration.

You will collaborate with architecture, backend, frontend, cloud, and integration teams to deliver scalable, reliable software, own code quality, testing, observability, and production readiness, while mentoring engineers and guiding design reviews.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including significant hands-on full stack development experience.
  • Experience building modern web applications using frontend technologies such as React, Angular, Vue, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Strong backend development experience using C#, .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, or equivalent enterprise backend frameworks.
  • Experience designing and consuming REST APIs, event-driven services, messaging systems, and integration contracts across distributed systems.
  • Experience integrating Computer Vision capabilities into production software systems, including image or video data flows, model/service APIs, event handling, and operational monitoring.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, data modeling, query optimization, and data access patterns.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and DevOps practices.
  • Ability to work independently, clarify requirements, break down technical work, and deliver high-quality software in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain frontend, backend, and integration capabilities for the Supervisory Control Platform.
  • Build responsive, secure, and user-friendly web applications and operator-facing interfaces using modern frontend frameworks and strong UI engineering practices.
  • Develop scalable backend services, APIs, messaging integrations, and data contracts that support platform workflows, system orchestration, and external integrations.
  • Integrate Computer Vision services, models, image-processing pipelines, and related data flows into platform workflows, operator interfaces, and downstream system integrations.
  • Work across cloud, on-premise, controls, WES/WMS, and platform components to ensure reliable end-to-end integration and production readiness.
  • Own code quality, test automation, peer reviews, observability, performance, reliability, and secure engineering practices.
  • Provide senior-level technical guidance, mentor engineers, contribute to design reviews, and help the team make pragmatic technical trade-offs.

The Role

This is a senior individual contributor role for a hands-on full stack engineer responsible for designing, building, integrating, and operating software capabilities across the Supervisory Control Platform, with a strong focus on Computer Vision-related integration.

The role reports to the Senior Software Engineering Manager and works closely with architecture, backend, frontend, cloud, controls, QA, DevOps, Product, Computer Vision, and integration teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and maintainable software.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in warehouse automation, robotics, intralogistics, WES/WMS/WCS, control systems, or operational software platforms.
  • Hands-on experience integrating Computer Vision solutions into automation, robotics, warehouse operations, inspection, detection, tracking, or exception-handling workflows.
  • Experience developing software that connects cloud services with on-premise systems, devices, controllers, or operational environments.
  • Experience working in agile engineering teams with strong ownership of design, implementation, testing, release, and production support.
Competencies
  • TypeScript, JavaScript, React or equivalent modern framework, HTML, CSS, component-based UI design, state management, and frontend testing.
  • C#, .NET, Java, Node.js, Python, microservices, API design, authentication, authorization, and service-to-service communication.
  • REST, messaging, event-driven architecture, data contracts, distributed systems, and hybrid on-premise to cloud connectivity patterns.
  • Integration with vision models, image-processing services, camera/device data streams, inference APIs, event pipelines, and operational feedback loops.
  • Azure, AWS, or equivalent cloud platforms; Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, infrastructure awareness, logging, monitoring, and observability.
  • Unit testing, integration testing, automated test pipelines, secure coding, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support readiness.
