Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Java & AWS) in a hybrid arrangement. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable web apps, collaborating with architects, product owners, designers, and other tech stakeholders to deliver cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities include building frontend components with React.js, developing backend services with Java/Spring Boot, and integrating RESTful APIs.

Senior Full Stack Developer (React, Java & AWS) (Hybrid)

About the role

As a Senior Full Stack Java Developer, you will make an impact by designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications that deliver exceptional user experiences and support critical business objectives. You will be a valued member of the engineering team and work collaboratively with architects, product owners, designers, developers, and other technology stakeholders to build innovative cloud-based solutions.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain full stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React.js, JavaScript, SQL, and AWS technologies.
• Build reusable front-end components and scalable back-end services to support ongoing application development initiatives.

Work model

We believe hybrid work is the way forward as we strive to provide flexibility wherever possible. Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring up to 3 days per week in a client or Cognizant office in Irving TX or Minneapolis MN. What you need to have to be considered

• Strong experience developing enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, JavaScript, SQL, and MySQL.
• Experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions using AWS.
• 8+ years of experience as Full stack developer
• Hands-on experience with React.js and modern front-end development practices.
• Experience designing, developing, and integrating RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as Kafka.
• Understanding of modern authentication and authorization mechanisms, including JSON Web Tokens (JWT).
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Agentic AI tools, or similar technologies.
• Proven problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills within Agile development environments.

These will help you stand out:

• Experience building highly scalable and high-performance web applications.
• Familiarity with modern front-end build tools, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native application development.
• Experience working in large enterprise or client-facing environments.
• Passion for emerging technologies, AI-enabled software engineering, and continuous learning

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 81,337 to $163,00 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
