Job summary

MasterApp Labs LLC in Austin, TX, is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer (Python and React) to join our contract project on a hybrid basis. You will design, build, and deploy scalable web applications, leveraging React, TypeScript, Python, FastAPI, and Terraform while ensuring security and robust APIs.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience with portal development, medical or health data contexts, OAuth/OIDC/SAML, cloud integrations, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting full-stack web apps.
• 5+ years developing secure web portals with RBAC, API integration and secure coding.
• 5+ years with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, and Terraform.
• 3+ years developing healthcare apps with HIPAA, privacy, security and governance.
• 3+ years integrating with cloud services and data platforms (AWS, APIs, data warehouses).
• 3+ years implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML or similar SSO.
• 3+ years event-driven architectures with cloud-native integration/messaging.
• 3+ years modern software delivery: Git/GitHub, CI/CD, DevSecOps, testing, monitoring.
• 1+ years deploying with Docker and Kubernetes.
• 1+ years HealthLake, Snowflake or similar healthcare data platforms.

Responsibilities

Job Title: Senior Full Stack Developer (Python and React)

Location: Austin, TX, (Hybrid)-3 days remote with 2 days (Mon & Wed) required to be onsite

Position Type: Contract

Interview Mode: MS Teams & In-person both

Key Responsibilities:

• Understands business objectives and problems, identifies alternative solutions, performs studies and cost/benefit analysis of alternatives.
• Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing computer system: Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be; summarized, and formats for reports.
• Writes detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify computer program.
• Reviews computer system capabilities, specifications, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system.

*The selected contractor will serve as a Full Stack Developer resource for the project with portal experience. The successful candidate may be considered for other similar ITSAC assignments if authorized through the applicable procurement and contracting process*

II. CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Requirements:

• 5 | Preferred | Experience developing secure web portals or enterprise applications supporting internal and external users, including role-based access, identity management, API integration, secure coding, testing, performance optimization, and operational support.
• 5 | Preferred | Experience with React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, FastAPI, and Terraform.
• 3 | Preferred | Experience developing applications in healthcare, public health, disease surveillance, or health information environments, including electronic case reporting, laboratory data, healthcare records, or other regulated health information.
• 3 | Preferred | Experience developing applications that process sensitive healthcare data while complying with HIPAA, privacy, security, and data governance requirements.
• 3 | Preferred | Experience integrating applications with cloud services and data platforms, including AWS services, enterprise APIs, analytics platforms, data warehouses, or large-scale data ingestion solutions supporting reporting and analytics.
• 3 | Preferred | Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, or other enterprise authentication and authorization solutions.
• 3 | Preferred | Experience designing and implementing event-driven architectures using cloud-native integration and messaging services.
