IBM Consulting FutureNow is hiring a Senior Full Stack Developer to deliver cloud-native applications and mission-critical solutions for public sector clients. You’ll work in multidisciplinary Agile teams across frontend and backend stacks, helping clients solve complex challenges while growing your technical and consulting capabilities.

The role emphasizes collaboration with architects, product owners and stakeholders, plus mentoring and adherence to security and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as React.
• Experience developing back-end services using technologies such as Node.js, Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Experience developing and consuming APIs and integration services.
• Experience working with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy modern cloud-native applications.
• Build secure, scalable and maintainable solutions across front-end and back-end technologies.
• Develop APIs, integrations and services within distributed and microservices-based architectures.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, product owners and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.
• Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to solution development activities.
• Support code reviews, mentoring and knowledge sharing across delivery teams.
• Contribute to engineering standards, automation, continuous integration and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges while maintaining a focus on quality, security and performance.
• Apply modern software engineering practices throughout the development lifecycle.
