Job summary

Morph Enterprise is seeking a senior QA/Automation Engineer for an on-site role in West Sacramento, CA, with a ramp-up to a hybrid schedule (2–3 days on-site weekly). The contract runs 24 months with potential extension.

Qualifications

• 8+ years with Microsoft SQL Server; data models; complex SQL queries and stored procedures with joins, grouping and sorting.
• 5+ years automating tests on large projects; building test libraries; using Java, Python or shell scripting for automation; improving regression testing.
• 5+ years preparing test harnesses for system, functional and performance testing.
• 5+ years producing test documentation: requirements, architecture, plans and configuration for various testing types.
• 3+ years data manipulation, reporting and validation with SQL queries.
• 5+ years using defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM or JAMA).

Required Qualifications

• All experience must fall within the last 10 years. Every item below is required, and we need a specific description of your experience for each one.
• 8+ years as a software developer, including designing and developing web applications with Microsoft .NET, ASP.NET and MVC architecture; developing web applications in C# (object-oriented); developing user interfaces with jQuery, JavaScript, HTML and XML; and developing testing utilities for unit and system integration testing.
• 8+ years as a software developer, including designing and developing web applications with Microsoft SQL Server; understanding and interpreting data models; and writing complex SQL queries and stored procedures with joins, grouping and sorting logic.
• 5+ years implementing automated testing on large-organization projects, including turning manual test cases and business requirements into automated tests; creating shared or cross-application test libraries; developing tools that speed up automated testing adoption across an organization; partnering with teams on automated regression testing practices; using Java, Python or shell scripting for test automation; shortening regression testing windows through automation; and writing automated tests to improve test coverage.
• 5+ years preparing test harnesses (tools, environments and test data sets) for system, functional, performance and regression testing.
• 5+ years producing test documentation: testing requirements, platform architecture, test plans and strategy, specifications, and configuration for integration, system, regression, stress and load testing.
• 3+ years performing data manipulation, reporting and validation by writing SQL queries.
• 5+ years using defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Bugzilla, HP ALM or JAMA.
• 5+ years analyzing business, functional and technical requirements and translating them into test requirements and test cases.
• 5+ years analyzing test results, generating test scripts, identifying defects and anomalies, and fine-tuning test data and test cases.

Preferred Qualifications

• Strong oral communication and technical writing skills
• T-SQL experience, including stored procedures, triggers, user-defined functions and views
• 2+ years performing parallel or automated testing
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Database administration experience for multi-tier web applications with a SQL Server back end
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
• Comfortable with a hybrid on-site work model in West Sacramento
