Job summary

StraitSys Inc. is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join an agile team in Washington, DC. You will design and implement backend APIs with Java/Spring Boot, build responsive UIs with React, and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for scalable, secure applications.

The role requires strong communication, 7+ years of experience, and an active Top-Secret clearance. You will participate in CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, and AWS environments, delivering enterprise-grade solutions.

Qualifications

• Must have strong UI design and development skills using React and CSS.
• Proven experience with Java, Spring Framework/Security, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and RESTful APIs.
• Experience in database design and data migration with PostgreSQL.
• Experience with AWS services (S3/EC2/ECS/Aurora) and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD, Maven, and Git/GitLab for version control and builds.
• Active Top-Secret Clearance preferred or ability to obtain.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend APIs using Java Spring Boot and secure RESTful endpoints.
• Build modern UI components with React, TypeScript, and CSS.
• Develop and optimize PostgreSQL schemas and queries for scalability.
• Support deployments, CI/CD pipelines, and version control processes.
• Ensure accessibility and security practices per enterprise standards.
• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum/Kanban team and document work clearly.
