Job summary

New York Life's Strategic Analytics team seeks a Senior Full-Stack Developer to craft dynamic front-end experiences with React and Streamlit while architecting cloud-native backends using Kubernetes, DynamoDB, and Jenkins.

You will collaborate with analytics engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise-grade products that power decisions across sales, marketing, and finance. This role offers a hybrid work model with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years as a full-stack developer with a portfolio of interactive apps or tools.
• Proficient in React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, and web fundamentals.
• Proficient in Streamlit or Python-based UI frameworks for data visualization.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes (EKS), DynamoDB, containerization, and CI/CD (Jenkins).
• Experience deploying in AWS and familiarity with API design and microservices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain front-end apps using React and Streamlit to visualize insights.
• Develop APIs leveraging FAST API for analytics web apps.
• Collaborate with data teams to integrate front-end with cloud-based backends at scale.
• Build and manage APIs, workflows, and services with Kubernetes, DynamoDB, Jenkins.
• Define product requirements with partners; structure dashboards for insight-rich apps.
• Champion UI/UX best practices for simple, elegant, functional experiences.
• Lead code reviews and improve software development practices.
• Identify opportunities to optimize platforms and propose AI-enabled solutions.
• Serve as technical advisor to business and analytics stakeholders.
