Job summary

Akaasa Technologies in Schiller Park, IL / Coppell, TX is seeking a senior full‑stack developer for a major modernization initiative. This 50/50 front‑end/back‑end role emphasizes Next.js with TypeScript, Angular, .NET Core/.NET 8+, REST APIs, microservices, and Azure.

You will help migrate an on‑premises application to Azure, design scalable APIs, and optimize SQL Server/Azure SQL. Hybrid work model with 3–4 days onsite.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise application development experience.
• 6+ years developing modern web applications using Next.js and TypeScript.
• 6+ years building RESTful APIs and backend services with .NET Core/.NET 8+, C#, ASP.NET Web API, and Azure Functions.
• Strong hands‑on experience across both front‑end and back‑end development.

Responsibilities

• Lead frontend and backend development for a major modernization initiative.
• Contribute to migration from on‑premises to Azure while rewriting architecture.
• Work with Next.js, Angular (TypeScript), .NET Core/.NET, and Azure in a 50/50 split.

Notes

• They need to hire a new Dev to help in the plan to work on a major application modernization initiative involving a migration from an on-premises application to Azure while simultaneously rewriting the application architecture
• This is a 50/50 Front end/Backend Split and they MUST HAVE NEXT.JS EXP
• The ideal candidate should have strong hands‑on experience across both front‑end and back‑end development and be comfortable supporting: Next.js, Angular(Typescript), .NET Core /.NET, Microservices, and Azure
• 8+ years of enterprise application development experience
• 6+ years developing modern web applications using Next.js and TypeScript
• 6+ years building RESTful APIs and backend services using .NET Core/.NET 8+, C#, ASP.NET Web API, and Azure Functions
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Strong SQL Server 2019+/Azure SQL experience, including optimization, indexing, and performance tuning
• Pluses:
