Job summary

Steampunk is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our DevSecOps practice, delivering software features, APIs and microservices in an Agile environment. You will contribute to build/release management, CI/CD, and test automation while focusing on security throughout the development lifecycle.

Your work includes designing, developing, and deploying modular services, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Java/React
• 5+ years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
• Experience with one or more clouds (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, TravisCI
• Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including unit testing
• 5+ years of application development experience in an Agile environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills

Responsibilities

• Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize and modernize software systems
• Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members
• Engineer and implement solutions and provide recommendations for continuous improvement for the services provided

• Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance
• BS Degree in an IT field OR BS in a non-IT field and 2 years related IT experience
• 5+ Years of experience with Java/React
• 5+ Years of experience with Git SCM providers such as GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket
• Experience with one or more clouds (I.e. AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience using CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, TravisCI
• Experience implementing docker containers and utilizing platforms such as Kubernetes
• Experience implementing automated testing frameworks including unit testing

Preferred:

• 5+ years of application development experience in an Agile environment

Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including but not limited to geographic location, contractual requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $85,000 to $170,000. The estimate displayed represents a typical annual salary range for this position.
