Senior Full-Stack AI Engineer for Creative Music Platform

Suno; United States; Remote; USD 150,000 - 230,000; Full time

Job summary

Suno is hiring Senior / Staff Full-Stack / AI Engineers to build the backend, data and evals behind its song-creation agent. You will own your part of the agent, work with ML engineers, PMs and product teams, and ship features that enable multi-step requests and tool calls.

You’ll design evals, data pipelines, and internal tooling, while shipping a nondeterministic system and proving its reliability before release. This role suits hands-on backend engineers who enjoy collaboration and impact.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years building and scaling general backend systems in production.
• Experience shipping and operating an LLM-powered agent or feature in production.
• Experience building evals for nondeterministic systems, such as regression sets, graders or LLM judges.
• Comfort on a small team that runs production: handling ambiguity, unblocking yourself, and working with ML engineers, PMs and partner teams.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Python (Pyth).

Responsibilities

• Build and run the backend for an AI agent that plans multi-step requests and calls music models and audio tools.
• Design the evals, datasets and release gates that decide whether a change to the agent ships, and make the call when the results are noisy.
• Develop the data pipelines that feed the agent and its evals, working alongside ML engineers.
• Create internal tools for running and reviewing evals.
• Share on-call and launch support for a high-traffic production system, and help the team ramp new engineers as it grows.
• Help make creative fulfillment a daily reality for everyone by shipping the features people use to turn an idea into music.
