Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Software Engineer for Lattice for Cyber to build core capabilities and primitives powering offensive cyber programs. You’ll tackle networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, delivering pragmatic, scalable software on time.

You’ll collaborate with design teams and program customers, contribute to technical leadership, and explore AI/LLM-enabled workflows that improve analyst effectiveness without compromising reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing, building, and operating production software.
• Strong front-end engineering experience in modern TypeScript/React application development, Angular, Vue.js or similar tools.
• Ability to debug across the full stack, including logs, networking, interfaces, configuration, and hardware/software boundaries.
• Practical experience with Linux and containerized deployment.
• Comfort collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams and translating ambiguous requirements into clean user experiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical reviews and architecture discussions.
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, the Washington, DC or the Orange County, CA metro areas.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time support program teams and customer events.
• US security clearance eligible

Responsibilities

• Work with design teams and cyber subject matter experts to build a brand new UX product that enables US and allied nations to perform offensive cyber missions at scale.
• Design and build an extensible React-based component system as a foundation for other cyber teams to build upon for their customer's use cases and integrations.
• Build the UX that powers our offensive cyber products such as command and control, autonomous cyber behavior trees, SIGINT analysis tools, and data exfiltration pipelines.
• Work directly with program teams and customers as they build real missions on your products.
• Contribute to technical leadership, design clarity, and long-term maintainability across a growing software stack.
• Incorporate AI/LLM-enabled workflow features where they improve analyst or operator effectiveness without compromising system reliability.
• Contribute back to the Lattice software platform core, allowing your products to provide value across the entire company.

ABOUT THE TEAM

Anduril Cyber is focused on positioning Anduril as a lead provider of capabilities to enable offensive cyber missions. Cyber is a new business line at Anduril, and relies upon our fleet of autonomous vehicles, the Lattice operating system, mesh networks, and other hardware products to engage in cyber operations at the edge. We design and build novel solutions to deploy cyber capabilities in unconventional or difficult to reach environments. The new Lattice for Cyber team will build the core capabilities, experiences, and primitives that allow our Cyber products to operate reliably at scale. This is a founding team working from an unusually blank sheet of paper.

ABOUT THE JOB

As a Software Engineer in Lattice for Cyber, you will build the core capabilities, experiences, and primitives that our offensive Cyber programs rely on. You will solve a wide variety of problems involving networking, autonomy, systems integration, robotics, and more, while making pragmatic engineering tradeoffs along the way. Above all, Anduril engineers on this team are driven by a "Whatever It Takes" mindset - executing in an expedient, scalable, and pragmatic way while keeping the mission top-of-mind and making sound engineering decisions to deliver successful outcomes on-time and with high quality. Not only will you build the software, you'll have the opportunity to work with the customer's to deploy it.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Exposure to AI/LLM integration patterns, inference workflows, tool orchestration, or model-assisted application features.
• Track record of technical leadership, productization work, or direct customer interface in complex engineering environments.
• Prior work delivering into air-gapped or otherwise constrained deployment environments.
• Hands-on offensive or defensive cyber background.
• An active U.S. Security clearance.

US Salary Range

$191,000 - $253,000 USD

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril's total compensation package.
