Job summary

Sauna by Wordware is seeking a frontend‑focused product engineer to own the user interfaces that let people hand work to Sauna, watch it happen, and return with trust. You will drive interaction design, client architecture, API routes, and data migrations while shipping quickly from concept to first version and iterating on feedback.

You will own end‑to‑end features, ensuring performance, crafting delightful loading and empty states, and building experiences across web, iOS, Slack, and email.

Qualifications

• Shipping complex web products and owning them after launch.
• Give rough direction, sketch interaction, build it, and defend tradeoffs.
• Deep React knowledge and reusable components you want others to reuse.
• Comfort owning a full‑stack feature end to end: migration, route, fetch, UI, analytics.
• Care about performance: caching, invalidation, and optimistic updates.

Responsibilities

• Own the product surface Sauna users interact with and trust.
• Ship interactive frontend features from rough idea to first version, then improve from feedback.
• Coordinate migration, routing, data fetch, UI, and analytics across the stack.
• Ensure consistent experiences across web, mobile, and Slack integrations.
• Focus on loading states, errors, and keyboard accessibility to improve craft.
