Job summary

Verkada is seeking a Frontend Engineer (Video Streaming) to own the web frontend for live and recorded video across 1.4M cameras. You will ensure seamless playback, reliability, and security while shaping the streaming stack and delivering features like History Player Search.

You will collaborate with design/product, mentor peers, and drive frontend architecture decisions in a fast-growing security tech environment.

Qualifications

BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
4+ years of production web app experience.
Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
Strong HTML/CSS fundamentals and accessibility focus.
Experience building scalable frontend architectures.

Responsibilities

Lead development of core frontend features across dashboard, video playback, and device management.
Collaborate with designers and product managers for polished UX.
Make architectural and performance decisions.
Mentor junior engineers via code reviews and design discussions.
Work with backend and infra teams to deliver scalable user experiences.
Improve UI performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
