Job summary

Optiveum is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer (TypeScript / Vue.js) to own the UI for a global, research-focused platform. You will work with UX/UI, backend, data, AI, and product teams across locations to build scalable frontend solutions.

This fully remote, full-time position expects 5+ years of frontend experience, strong TS/Vue.js skills, and a commitment to quality and maintainability in a regulated data environment. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of frontend software development experience.
• Hands-on with Vue 3, TypeScript, Tailwind, Vite, Inertia.js, Vitest/Playwright and Figma.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript and Vue.js.
• Experience in a regulated industry and with complex data.
• Broad understanding of software development and scalable architecture.
• Ability to explain technical possibilities and trade-offs to technical and non-technical colleagues.
• BSc in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Willingness to provide a criminal record certificate.

Responsibilities

• Developing, maintaining and improving scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and Vue.js.
• Translating UX/UI designs and product requirements into responsive, accessible and maintainable user experiences.
• Contributing to frontend architecture and communicating clearly what can be built, scaled and maintained.
• Integrating the frontend with backend services, APIs and search capabilities across the platform.
• Building MVPs and experimenting with new approaches while keeping a strong focus on quality and long-term maintainability.
• Supporting engineering quality through unit and end-to-end testing, code reviews, troubleshooting and continuous improvement.
• Collaborating across locations and disciplines to deliver effective solutions for researchers and scientific stakeholders.
