Job summary

Navan is building a new frontend-driven product with strong collaboration across product, design and data science teams. This senior technical leader on the Edge team will write code, drive frontend architecture, and mentor engineers while delivering high-impact features.

The role expects hands-on ownership of frontend systems, end-to-end feature delivery, and collaboration with backend counterparts. Location is New York, with a fast-paced startup vibe and growth potential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of UI development experience.
• Track record of driving change in engineering organizations.
• Ability to motivate people, instill accountability and achieve results.
• Experience with SpringBoot.
• Experience with React.
• Knowledge with Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Experience with Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular Frameworks.
• Collaborate on application design with application development teams.
• Implement significant portions of the system and help others in the implementation.
• Understand how key technical decisions will drive business outcomes and deliver frameworks and platforms that improve delivery with high-quality to those outcomes.
• Able to work in full stack development as well. Knowledge of backend systems is a plus.
• Own features end to end, from collaborating with product, designers, and shipping features and monitoring impacts.
• Perform design and code reviews of other engineers at Navan.
• Establish credibility with smart engineers quickly.
• Build developer frameworks that improve velocity, code quality and code health.
• Front-end reliability, performance, instrumentation and measurability.
