Top Slate Consulting is seeking a part-time Senior Front End Engineer to join the development team in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining leading-brand properties such as FoodNetwork.com and HGTV.com using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of web application development experience, with a strong focus on front-end technologies, and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in general web application development, with 4+ years with front-end development.
• 4+ years of experience with JavaScript (including DOM, object-oriented JavaScript, Ajax, JSON).
• Knowledge of jQuery.
• Experience with PHP, JSP or related language integration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front end for leading-brand properties like FoodNetwork.com.
• Ensure standards-compliance and cross-browser compatibility.
• Collaborate to refine user experience with designers and product managers.
• Participate in service desk rotation and triage issues.
