Job summary

Monstro is building a governed AI platform for regulated financial institutions, delivering trusted advice to every client. We seek a strong frontend engineer to own features in a React/Typescript stack, drive architecture decisions, and champion test-driven development and accessibility across the product.

You will collaborate with designers and backend teams, contribute to design systems, and help scale the frontend as we expand to new clients and markets.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in React and Typescript with production web-app experience.
• An appreciation of UX and the creative process.
• Solid grasp of modern CSS, responsive design principles, and accessibility standards.
• Experience with test-driven development and frontend testing frameworks.
• Contributions to design systems or component libraries.
• Confidence working with APIs and understanding backend services and system integrations.
• Comfortable working with build tooling, bundlers, and CI/CD integration.
• Clear communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
• Adaptable fast learner who is excited about staying on top of the latest trends in frontend development and wants to lead the team in adopting the latest best practices

Responsibilities

• Build and own features across our React applications, delivering polished experiences for users and clients.
• Drive frontend architecture decisions and establish patterns for maintainability.
• Champion a test-driven development culture with unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
• Ensure accessibility standards are met and inclusive design practices are followed.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to optimize build times and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and pair programming.
