Akliz, Inc. is seeking an experienced frontend developer to own features on our dashboard and marketing sites. You’ll work with a small frontend team in a design-driven, sprint-based process to ship user-focused functionality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years frontend web development experience.
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js.
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
• Strong at consuming REST APIs and shaping data.
• Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• Ability to write clean, reusable code.
• Experience with code review workflows on a team.
• Ability to translate designs into web implementations.
• Strong communication within a team.
• Proficiency with Git.

Job description

We're a small remote team that values ownership and clear communication. We care about quality and back it up with strong support that stays with people from signup for as long as they need us. We look for the same attention to quality and care in the people who join our team.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll work on our dashboard and marketing sites alongside our small frontend team. We all work together on the same priorities in sprints using a design-driven process. You’ll take real ownership of features from planning through code review and help ship things that gamers actually want to use.

Requirements

• 5+ years of frontend web development experience
• Proficiency with TypeScript, React, Next.js, and Node.js
• Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS
• Strong at consuming REST APIs, adapting and shaping data, handling loading and error states, and getting that data into components and state
• Experience writing and maintaining unit and integration tests
• Ability to write clean, reusable, and maintainable code
• Experience with code review and pull request workflows on a team
• Ability to gather requirements from designs and implement them on the web
• High level of communication. We build as a team, not in isolated units.
• Proficiency with version control software like git
• Reliable PC, microphone, and fast internet connection

Nice to Have

• Experience with Storybook and turning Figma designs into a component library
• Docker
• Libraries such as shadcn/ui, SWR, MSW, or faker.js
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and best practices
• Hobby coding projects that demonstrate your passion for solving problems
• Hosting and playing on your own game servers and a good history of playing lots of games
