Job summary

AmaWaterways, LLC is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Frontend in Calabasas, CA to provide senior technical leadership across consumer and partner digital platforms. You will drive frontend architecture, standards, and performance using Next.js, React, and TypeScript in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in computer science or a related field.
• Eight or more years of professional software engineering experience with frontend focus and leadership.
• Proven experience leading architecture and delivery of large-scale React/Next.js apps in production.
• Experience as technical lead or senior engineer responsible for architectural direction.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the frontend technical lead within an application engineering scrum team.
• Lead architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment of enterprise-scale web apps (React/Next.js/TypeScript).
• Drive scalable, maintainable frontend platforms for booking, lead gen, and guest experiences.
• Establish and enforce frontend standards for quality, accessibility, security, and performance.
• Design Next.js solutions (SSR/SSG/ISR) and modern data-fetching patterns.
• Own frontend architecture, design systems, and reusable components; mentor engineers.
