Job summary

Strategic Staffing Solutions is seeking a Senior Front-End Developer in Charlotte, NC to design, develop, and enhance responsive, high-performance web applications.

You will work with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks to build UI components, integrate REST APIs, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and apply SEO best practices while collaborating across design and back-end teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Progressive professional experience in front-end/web development.
• Advanced proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, responsive design, and mobile interfaces.
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks and UI libraries.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, AJAX, JSON, XML, MVC frameworks, and template engines.
• Strong understanding of cross-browser development, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with SEO-focused web development.
• Proficiency with source control tools such as Git, SVN, or TFS.
• Strong object-oriented programming and scripting experience with Java, C#, PHP, Ruby, or similar technologies.
• Strong SQL and relational database skills.
• Experience with unit testing and reusable component development.
• Familiarity with graphic-editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop.
• Ability to travel to off-site locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, mobile-friendly web applications using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Develop user interfaces using JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as Angular, jQuery, Ember.js, Bootstrap, and Foundation.
• Create responsive layouts, CSS3 animations and reusable JavaScript components.
• Integrate applications with REST APIs, AJAX, JSON, and XML-based services.
• Troubleshoot browser compatibility and performance issues across multiple platforms and devices.
• Develop applications following MVC and template-engine architecture.
• Apply SEO best practices within front-end code and site architecture.
• Build rapid prototypes to demonstrate proposed website designs and functionality to clients and stakeholders.
• Develop and execute unit tests using established testing frameworks.
• Utilize Git, SVN, or TFS for source-code management.
• Support back-end development using technologies such as Java, .NET/C#, PHP, or Ruby.
• Develop relational database models and advanced SQL queries and stored procedures.
• Configure, deploy, and support websites hosted on IIS and Apache.
• Collaborate with designers, developers, business partners, and clients throughout the development lifecycle.
