Job summary

Credence in Tysons, VA, seeks a Senior Applications Engineer to support DAAS AI/ML modernization. You will design and build front-end interfaces, dashboards, and data visualizations that surface AI/ML outputs for government clients.

The role blends hands-on engineering with architectural leadership and disciplined configuration management. You will mentor developers, estimate costs, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, robust enterprise solutions.

Qualifications

US citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.
BA/BS in a technical discipline from an accredited university.
At least ten (10) years of applicable experience in applications engineering or related field.
Experience in front-end engineering and UI/UX with measurable impact.
Ability to estimate costs/schedules and communicate risks to leadership.
Experience with software configuration management tools and CASE.
Experience deploying ML models in production environments.
Strong knowledge of React, Next.js, TypeScript, HTML/CSS and WCAG 2.1.

Responsibilities

Lead front-end engineering and UI/UX across enterprise applications.
Design dashboards and data visualizations surfacing AI/ML outputs.
Mentor junior developers and guide development teams.
Manage software tools/subsystems for reuse and domain analyses.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and artifact governance.
Collaborate with data engineers and ML teams to represent AI outputs accurately.
