Job summary

AuraOne is seeking a Senior FreeCAD Engineer to remotely evaluate production code, reproduce failures, and write minimal failing tests. You will grade engineering review solutions, explain fixes, and document recurring issues for the modeling team.

This contractor role requires strong debugging, code review, and testing skills, with 10+ hours per week availability. The role is remote for US-eligible contractors.

Qualifications

• Strong day-job engineering experience in reading, running, and debugging unfamiliar code.
• Ability to write concise unit tests capturing a single failure mode.
• Familiarity with a testing framework (pytest, Jest, or JUnit).

Responsibilities

• Run and reproduce candidate code outputs in a sandboxed environment for Senior FreeCAD Engineer assignments.
• Grade senior freecad engineer engineering review solutions for correctness, style, and edge-case handling.
• Write the smallest failing test that demonstrates a model's bug.
• Compare paired solutions and rank them with a written rationale tied to the rubric.
• Tag failure modes with severity scores and document recurring code-generation failures.
