Job summary

Target is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst for the Cyber Fraud Intelligence team to track and analyze fraud threats that could impact employees and guests. The role focuses on daily scoping and intelligence from open sources, the deep web, and dark web, with collaboration across fraud partners to support detections and mitigations.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years in threat intelligence, strong analytical skills, and experience with intelligence tooling.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of threat intelligence experience, with focus on fraud threats.
  • Knowledge of fraud tactics, investigations, and the intelligence cycle.
  • Experience collecting and analyzing open sources, deep web, and dark web data manually or with tooling.
  • Familiarity with digital investigations, data management, and scripting utilities.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and quick learning.
  • Ability to balance proactive and reactive fraud threat work with partners.
  • Self-motivated with ability to lead and influence across teams.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Hybrid work arrangement with onsite MN and virtual work; country constraints.

Responsibilities

  • Track and analyze prioritized fraud threats to inform investigations and detections.
  • Identify and analyze fraud threat activity across internal and external sources.
  • Participate in monthly/ad-hoc intelligence rollups to inform stakeholders.
  • Identify areas for process improvements and automate existing workflows.
  • Collaborate with Fraud & Abuse teams, investigators, and engineers on mitigation controls.

The pay range is $88,000.00 - $158,000.00

As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst on the Cyber Fraud Intelligence team, you will provide daily support related to the tracking and analysis of prioritized fraud threats that may pose a risk to Target. This position will be primarily focused on the daily scoping and analysis of internal and external fraud threats against Target, its employees and our Guests. You will work closely across the Fraud & Abuse space with fellow analysts, investigators, and engineers to identify & analyze fraud threat activity, discover tactics, techniques & procedures employed by the fraud actors, and provide intelligence support to investigations and detection ops to support fraud controls and mitigation strategies defending against actualized and potential fraud. You will participate in monthly and ad-hoc intelligence rollups of Fraud portfolios to inform broader internal stakeholders of observed trends. You will identify areas for process improvements and work with other cross-functional teams to automate and streamline new or existing workflows.

About you:

2-5 years of experience in threat intelligence, preferably in a role focused on clear, deep, and dark web investigations or fraud-focused analysis, response or mitigation

Knowledge of and experience dealing with common fraud tactics, fraud investigations, the intelligence cycle, collection, and analysis methodologies

Experience obtaining, processing, and analyzing various sources of information including open sources, deep web, and dark web both manually and through intelligence tooling

Familiarity with various types of digital investigation, data management, and scripting utilities

Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, attention to detail, critical thinking, logic, and to learn rapidly

Balance collection, analysis and sharing of proactive and emerging fraud trends with relevant partners, along with reactive support for fraud investigations and other requests for intelligence support from enterprise partners

Self-motivated with the ability to lead and influence across multiple teams

Collaborative with the ability to work cross-functionally with a variety of internal and external fraud partners on emerging fraud and abuse trends, intelligence sharing, influencing mitigation controls and detection effots, and industry fraud impacts

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
Well organized with strong time management skills

This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target's needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team member's core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
