Job summary

Vadum, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our team in Raleigh, NC. The role focuses on firmware development for FPGA-based hardware systems and collaboration with engineers to design and troubleshoot firmware solutions.

Responsibilities include architecting FPGA designs, using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog, MATLAB data generation, Xilinx Vivado, TCL scripting, simulations, and testbenches. Strong communication and problem-solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in engineering, CS, or relevant field.
• 10+ years relevant experience and 5+ years in firmware development.
• Strong programming, code writing, testing, validation, and debugging skills.
• Experience with Linux operating procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain complex FPGA designs.
• Design, install, and troubleshoot firmware for FPGA-based hardware systems.
• Develop and use VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog HDL languages.
• Utilize Matlab for data generation and coefficient calculations.
• Use Xilinx Vivado tools and TCL scripting for constraints.
• Create simulations, testbenches, and debug with ILA analyzers.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers and support upgrades.
