Job summary

Anduril Industries in Fort Collins, CO, seeks a Senior FPGA Engineer to lead FPGA design for airborne radar products. You will translate algorithms into hardware, drive verification, and set design standards across teams.

You will guide a cross-functional team, collaborate with Costa Mesa-based colleagues, and ensure robust, scalable FPGA solutions using Altera toolchains. A path to secure layers is available.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of professional FPGA design and development experience.
• Strong expertise in RTL design using SystemVerilog and/or VHDL.
• Proven experience with Altera FPGA devices and development tools (Vivado, Quartus, etc.).
• Experience in digital signal processing implementation on FPGAs.
• Self-directed technical leadership with ability to drive projects end-to-end.
• Experience with FPGA verification methodologies and simulation tools.
• Strong timing closure and resource optimization skills.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead FPGA architecture, design, and verification for airborne radar systems from concept to production.
• Translate signal processing algorithms into efficient FPGA implementations on Altera SOC/FPGA platforms.
• Establish and drive robust FPGA design processes and verification methodologies.
• Collaborate with BA engineering team to ensure cross-site consistency.
• Design and implement DSP chains for radar data acquisition, filtering, and real-time processing.
• Perform timing analysis, resource optimization, and debugging of complex FPGA designs.
• Develop and maintain design documentation and verification plans.
• Mentor and guide other engineers as the team scales FPGA capabilities.
