Blue Nile, a premium jewelry brand, seeks a Senior Manager of FP&A to lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across merchandising and retail teams. You will build driver-based models, drive strategic financial insights, and partner with department heads to optimize profitability.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience with SAP/Power BI/Tableau, and the ability to present to senior leadership. US-based position with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA/MS preferred.
• 5–8 years in advisory/consulting, investment banking, FP&A, or related finance roles.
• Strong analytical and data-driven approach with executive communication.
• Experience with large datasets and MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• Ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a financial advisor to department heads, partnering with merchandising stakeholders.
• Analyze product and financial performance against plans and forecasts.
• Lead annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting across all departments.
• Develop driver-based financial models for scenario planning and forecasting.
• Evaluate investments and merchandising plans with clear recommendations.
• Own automated financial dashboards and reporting tools (Tableau or similar).
• Align revenue recognition, expense categorization, and forecasting treatment.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of cross-departmental reporting.
• Track budgets vs forecasts and flag deviations with stakeholder reviews.
• Deliver performance metrics with actionable commentary to leadership.
• Support topline growth and cost optimization initiatives.
• Prepare presentations for the Blue Nile Leadership Team.
• Support data transformation and ad hoc analysis projects.
