Job summary

Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a strategic FP&A Lead to own budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for a major area of the business. You will translate complex data into clear insights, partnering with senior leaders and the CFO to shape long-range financial strategy.

Reporting to the Head of FP&A, the role blends deep technical finance with leadership to drive discipline and scale across schools and network functions. Strong communication and Excel-based modeling are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 7–10 years of FP&A experience.
• Experience leading and developing a team.
• Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise building and working in complex financial models.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
• Ownership of deliverables’ accuracy and timeliness.
• Excellent communication with senior leaders.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets and Slides.
• Experience with an ERP system and/or reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Own the annual budgeting and monthly re-forecasting processes for your area; establish standard methodologies for forecasts.
• Serve as the senior Finance point of contact for operations and functions; inform decisions and drive fiscal responsibility.
• Oversee detailed reporting on performance, variance analysis, KPI monitoring, and trend analysis.
• Lead monthly financial reporting for senior management and present to executive leadership.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses; provide ad-hoc decision support to CFO/CEO.
• Drive operational efficiencies and strengthen financial systems, controls, and processes.
• Establish and lead training for business partners on financial systems and budget management.
