Job summary

Flywheel Energy, LLC is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst - Development to support upstream capital projects in Oklahoma City. You will partner with engineering and operations to develop the annual CapEx plan, forecast spending, and monitor variances to guide multi-million-dollar investments.

Qualifications

  • Requires Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or Business.
  • 4–8 years of FP&A and/or operational planning; oil & gas or capital-intensive industry preferred.
  • Strong modeling and analytical capabilities, including Excel and Google Sheets.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and forecast capital expenditures (CapEx); manage the annual CapEx plan and provide ongoing forecasts; monitor spending and flag variances.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc performance reports tracking project performance against plan and investment metrics; provide clear analysis for management.
  • Serve as the central point of contact for capital information; coordinate data from drilling, completions, construction, facilities, and midstream teams to ensure an accurate view of capital projects.
  • Conduct sensitivity analyses on commodity prices, drilling costs, and production volumes; provide data-driven recommendations for capital allocation decisions.

This role is responsible for the performance tracking and planning that informs multi-million-dollar investment decisions.## Key Responsibilities* **Planning & Forecasting:** Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to prepare and manage the annual capital expenditure (CapEx) plan and provide ongoing forecasts. Monitor project spending and flag any significant variances to plan.* **Performance Reporting:** Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports that track project performance against plan and original investment metrics. Provide clear, concise analysis and commentary for management.* **Cross-Functional Communication & Coordination:** Serve as the central point of contact for capital information, gathering and synthesizing data from multiple teams, including drilling, completions, construction, facilities, and midstream operations, to ensure a unified and accurate view of the basin's capital projects.* **Decision Support & Analysis:** Conduct sensitivity analysis on key project variables, such as commodity prices, drilling costs, and production volumes, to assess risk.
