Job summary

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) is seeking a Senior Foundations Manager to join its Development team. This role involves managing relationships with foundation donors, creating strategic engagement plans, and collaborating with various stakeholders to secure significant grants towards NRDC's fundraising goals.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and 4–7 years of relevant experience in fundraising. Strong analytical and interpersonal skills are essential, along with superior writing abilities to develop proposals and reports. This position allows for a hybrid work model, requiring in-office attendance 8 days per month.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of experience raising funds from foundations.
• Demonstrated experience closing six- and seven-figure gifts.
• Ability to travel domestically (approximately 10% annually).

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with approximately 50 foundation donors.
• Identify and cultivate foundation prospects for specific programs.
• Coordinate proposal and reporting processes with program staff.
• Stay current on foundation trends and incorporate into plans.
