PhysicsX is a deep‑tech company rooted in numerical physics and Formula One, dedicated to accelerating hardware innovation at the speed of software.
We are building an AI‑driven simulation software stack for engineering and manufacturing across advanced industries. By enabling high‑fidelity, multi‑physics simulation through AI inference across the entire engineering lifecycle, PhysicsX unlocks new levels of optimization and automation in design, manufacturing, and operations.
Your primary responsibility is to help customers solve their most important problems by building and deploying applications that utilize the power of our physics AI models. As a Senior Forward Deployed Software Engineer, you will work directly with customers, data scientists, and machine learning engineers to develop applications that change the way advanced engineering is done.
You will also travel to customer sites in North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania for an average of 3‑4 weeks per quarter to collaborate closely with customers on‑site.
You have a track record of solving hard problems and a solid foundation in software engineering, API design, and deploying applications to production. A background in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplines is a plus.
Proactivity & high ownershipYou take ownership of impact for our customers, drive end‑to‑end solutions, and acquire new skills quickly to solve novel problems.
Solution‑focusedYou are customer‑obsessed and work alongside customers to understand their problems and build applications that transform their engineering processes.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams – work with data scientists, machine learning engineers, designers, and front‑end engineers to deliver physics models that maximize value to customers.
E2E application design – shape tools for customers, prototype low‑lift ideas, ship them directly, and iterate rapidly with user feedback.
Backend development – build and maintain RESTful APIs (FastAPI) and microservices in Python, deploy these applications to the cloud using Helm, Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS/Azure.
PhysicsX development – distill complex solutions into core platform components, pitch and execute feature development, and influence the direction of PhysicsX.
Salary range: $150,000 – $250,000, depending on experience. Seniority will be assessed during the interview process.
