Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of professional work experience in enterprise software, systems integrator, or consulting firm; 3+ years in software implementation or pre-sales.
• Excellent communications skills and extensive experience working directly with clients and partners.
• Working knowledge of technical infrastructure including web services, app servers, databases, virtualization, and directories is required.
• Conversant in modern SaaS architecture.
• Familiarity with AI and agentic coding tools and with Java, XML, Python, SQL, JSON, and cloud platforms is desirable.

Senior Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) at SailPoint embark on their journey by undergoing comprehensive product and sales training. This initial phase allows them to harness their existing experience, paving the way for a profound understanding of our SaaS solutions and the challenges they solve for our customers. * Within two months, Senior FDEs begin participating in sales deals where they will leverage their product implementation expertise as well as client and partner communication skills to implement foundational solutions and proof-of-value implementations, leading to rapid time to value.* After their first six months, FDEs will be expected to serve as technical leads on customer engagements and have established themselves as both technical and consultative experts within the SailPoint Sales organization.* By the end of their first year, they will have become a trusted advisor to customers, partners, and to less experienced team members.
