Job summary

i270 Solutions Group LLC. seeks a senior Forensic Toolkit Lead Developer to own the architecture and evolution of a digital forensics toolkit handling petabyte-scale evidence processing.

You will lead a team of developers, guiding design, development, and integration across multiple data collections and APIs. The role requires clear Top Secret clearance, ability to obtain SCI access, and location flexibility between Clarksburg, WV and Northern VA.

Qualifications

• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship required; active Top Secret clearance at proposal submission with the ability to obtain SCI access
• Location: Clarksburg, WV or Northern VA
• Deep technical experience in software development with a specialization in digital forensics and forensic tool development
• Expert knowledge of forensic analysis techniques, file systems, data recovery, and evidence handling best practices
• Demonstrated experience leading the design and architecture of complex forensic software solutions
• Experience addressing the challenges associated with processing and analyzing petabytes of digital evidence from various sources
• Proficiency in .NET programming languages, along with thin client front-end technologies
• Familiarity with forensic standards and protocols, with the ability to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for digital evidence handling
• Extensive experience delivering forensic software deployed in commercial cloud environments and capable of distributed processing
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing projects spanning software development, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure
• Proven strategic planning ability, with a demonstrated track record of setting a technical vision and aligning development with organizational mission and goals
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences including law enforcement officers, analysts, and government officials
• Experience establishing and maintaining APIs to enforce backward compatibility and streamline integration of new functional modules
• Ability to assess and ensure software performance and reliability across all modules, components, analytical processes, and databases

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for the forensic tool portions of the MXU code base, providing senior-level design guidance while leading a team of developers to implement new features
• Lead the design, development, and analysis of customer operational and application systems, oversee ongoing maintenance and security enhancements
• Deliver incremental builds using Agile processes aligned to MXU requirements
• Build intuitive interfaces to discover relationships across multiple data collections and establish APIs for compatibility and integration
