Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in Chemical, Physical, Biological Science, or Forensic Science.
• Two years of applicable forensic laboratory experience performing Firearm/Toolmark analysis.
• Must obtain and maintain a Texas Forensic Analyst License within one year of employment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; maintain productivity as defined.

Responsabilités

• Conducts forensic science testing and/or analyses of Firearms/Toolmarks evidence.
• Assists in training lower level career path positions by conducting supervised casework.
• Interprets test results and prepares forensic reports on findings.
• Testifies in court as an expert witness.
• Provides scientific results to law enforcement agencies and answers questions related to findings.
