Job summary

Halliwell Engineering Associates, a leading forensic engineering and construction consulting firm, seeks a Licensed Professional Engineer with 5+ years’ experience to assess commercial, institutional, and industrial structures across Illinois. The role focuses on building envelope and roofing evaluation, field investigations, and producing detailed reports with repair recommendations.

Candidates must hold a PE in Illinois and BS in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture; MS

Qualifications

Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Illinois.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in analysis, evaluation, and design of building envelope and roofing systems.
BS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture.
MS degree in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering or Architecture is a plus.

Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate the condition and potential cause of distress to a wide range of structural buildings and facilities.
Perform field investigations of site conditions and subsequent analyses of structural components.
Produce written reports detailing findings of investigations, including conceptual repair recommendations.
