Job summary

F and P Construction seeks a Foreman to supervise field crews in heavy civil work at Nevada sites, including mass grading and underground utilities. You will read plans, coordinate crews, and ensure safety and quality on schedule.

Responsibilities include directing grading and utility installation, managing equipment and materials, performing grade checks, and maintaining compliance with OSHA standards. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in heavy civil construction with leadership experience.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, blueprints, and staking.
• Knowledge of trench safety and excavation standards.
• Experience operating or directing heavy equipment (excavators, dozers, loaders).

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct field crews in daily operations for grading and underground utility installation.
• Interpret plans, specifications, and staking to ensure accurate execution of work.
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower to meet production goals.
• Monitor productivity and adjust workflow to maintain schedule and efficiency.
• Perform grade checking and ensure tolerances are met.
• Oversee installation of water, sewer, and storm drain systems and ensure proper trenching and backfill.
• Enforce safety policies and OSHA regulations; conduct daily toolbox talks.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, survey crews, inspectors and subcontractors.
• Maintain quality and inspect for readiness to meet project standards.
• Track materials and manage equipment maintenance to minimize waste.
