Job summary

Sodexo at Norwich University is seeking a Senior Food Supervisor for weekend afternoon and evening shifts. This on-site, full-time role coordinates routine food service activities across multiple outlets and supervises service staff to maintain quality and safety standards.

You will train and mentor team members, work with management to ensure smooth operations, and address customer concerns to uphold high levels of service. Attendance and reliability are essential in this role.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight to management in daily operations and coordinate staff during the shift.
• Ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
• Facilitate orientation and training of employees.
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in quality and service, and resolve issues.
• Attends work and is on time for scheduled shifts.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Food Supervisor at Sodexo, you are a master multitasker and a quality‑of‑life improver. You will provides oversight at the direction of management on‑site to coordinate routine work activities of service employees engaged in food operations, including but not limited to fast casual, coffee/counter service, cafeterias, events/banquets, casual dining and cafes.

Responsibilities include:

• Provide support to management in the daily oversight of key functions and employees during the normal course of business
• Assist in ensuring a safe working environment throughout the facility for all employees.
• Facilitate orientation and training of employees
• Work with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service, and problem resolution.
• Attends work and shows for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
• Other duties may be assigned and can differ among accounts, depending on business necessities and client requirements.

• 2 or more years of related work experience. Previous supervisory experience preferred.
