Weekday AI is seeking a Flink Leader to drive design, development, and delivery of real-time data processing solutions in the United States. You will lead architecting streaming platforms, mentor engineers, and define technical roadmaps to enable enterprise-scale analytics.

You will champion best practices, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure scalable, high-performance systems with fault tolerance and observability. Strong Java skills and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on expertise in Apache Flink and streaming architectures.
• Excellent Java programming with multithreading and distributed systems knowledge.
• Proven leadership experience managing large engineering teams.
• Deep understanding of real-time data processing, event streaming, and microservices.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, development, and optimization of real-time streaming applications using Apache Flink.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems for high-volume data streams.
• Mentor and manage engineering teams, promote best practices and learning.
• Oversee end-to-end delivery: requirements, design, development, deployment, and support.
• Collaborate with product, architecture, DevOps, and stakeholders on technical solutions.
• Develop robust applications using Java and modern backend practices.
• Implement data pipelines, stream analytics, and real-time monitoring.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and performance in distributed environments.
• Establish coding standards and drive code quality reviews.
• Lead root-cause analysis for production issues in streaming systems.
• Contribute to technology strategy and platform improvements.
• Support hiring and capability development for streaming teams.
