Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a Staff Flight Avionics Specialist to drive hands-on avionics and Flight Test Instrumentation projects in a fast-paced test environment. You will lead installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of aircraft avionics and subsystems, manage wiring, harnesses, and software configurations, and ensure strict FAA compliance and safety.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in avionics/related field.
10+ years hands-on avionics/FTI tech in aerospace flight test.
Mastery of aircraft electrical/avionics installation and troubleshooting.
Experience with FTI systems and DAS instrumentation (strain gauges, accelerometers, string pots).
Electrical harness fabrication and IPC-soldering.
Experience with software loads/configurations for aircraft/ground segments.
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and orders; FAA/military standards knowledge.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate avionics/FTI projects from concept to implementation, including budgets and schedules.
Oversee installation, modification, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of avionics and subsystems.
Lead harness fabrication, wiring, crimping, soldering, and inspection to IPC standards.
Support flight test operations: pre-flight checks, ground operations, in-flight issue resolution, data validation.
Ensure documentation, FAA compliance, and safety protocols; manage FOD and tool control.
Collaborate with Flight Test Engineers, Design Engineers, and program managers to define requirements and drive improvements.
