Job summary

Chick-fil-A Supply in Texas is seeking a Lead Fleet Maintenance Technician to service and repair delivery equipment, including heavy duty tractors, refrigeration units, trailers and hydraulic liftgates. You will lead a team of Fleet Maintenance Technicians, coordinate preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment is available for on-time restaurant deliveries.

The role requires EPA certifications, strong diagnostics, and the ability to mentor others, with nights/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to oversee and inspect the work of colleagues – including the ability to communicate required corrections
  • Must be able to walk extensively and stand for long periods (8-10 hrs)
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends, and shifts
  • EPA 608 & EPA 609 Certification

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Plan and dispatch daily/weekly/monthly maintenance with external vendors
  • Maintain parts inventory and conduct monthly inventory
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and perform repairs
  • Repair tractors, trailers, bobtails and related delivery equipment
  • Train other employees and mentor teammates
  • Operate company vehicle for roadside repair if needed
  • Maintain clean and organized work area and adhere to regulations
