Parking Lot Painting Company (PLP Co.) is seeking an experienced Senior Fleet Mechanic to lead diagnostics, repairs, and preventative maintenance across our vehicle and equipment fleet — from light-duty to heavy-duty (Class 8). This role requires strong technical expertise, independent judgment, and the ability to mentor junior mechanics while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of mechanical experience with diesel/gas engines and hydraulics.
• High school diploma or GED; welding/fabrication experience required.
• Valid driver's license; CDL strongly preferred; clean driving record.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in varying weather; flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Mentor and train less experienced mechanics, modeling best practices and safety standards.
• Remove and replace defective parts; test repaired equipment.
• Provide roadside assistance and coordinate towing when vehicles break down.
• Maintain tools and equipment in good condition; fabricate, weld, and cut parts as needed.
• Perform DOT inspections and help ensure shop safety protocols.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
