Job summary

SpaceX in Boca Chica, TX is hiring a Fleet Maintenance Technician (Starship) to support critical production equipment. You will inspect, repair, and maintain a wide range of fleet assets, from diesel engines and hydraulic systems to cranes and automated transport systems, ensuring reliability for rapid Starship manufacturing.

Candidates should have 8+ years of maintenance experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read schematics and work with PLCs/HMIs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of maintenance technician experience.
• Experience with diesel/hydraulic/mechanical/electrical repair.
• Ability to read electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics.
• Experience with heavy machinery and cranes is preferred.
• Experience in aerospace manufacturing environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair all fleet assets to ensure proper operating condition.
• Provide preventative and corrective maintenance on automation transport systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, HMIs, servomotors, and I/O systems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic systems like actuators and pumps.
• Operate forklifts and company vehicles.
• Perform additional duties to maintain an efficient work environment.
