Job summary

Ingram Marine Group is seeking a Fleet Boat Captain for the St. Louis, MO fleets. You will steer the boat up and down the river, keep the crew safe, and position barges tows while adhering to safety and environmental requirements.

Applicants should reside within an hour of the location, possess 8+ years of experience, MMC and SCI/CEMS training with TWIC or state ID, and demonstrate strong leadership and communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Must read/write English to comply with USCG requirements.
• MMC; SCI/CEMS training and TWIC or state ID required.
• Demonstrated leadership and safety discipline.

Responsibilities

• Keep crew safe and compliant with safety policies.
• Move tow and build tow operations on the river.
• Ensure safe navigation and vessel operation.
• Efficiently manage crew and vessel resources.
• Ensure equipment safety and environmental protection.
• Steer tow up and down river; handle locks/bridges.
• Conduct safety meetings and drills.
