Job summary

Northern Trust is seeking a Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to lead multi-sector strategies within the taxable fixed income team, focusing on corporate credit valuation and securitized assets. You will independently contribute investment ideas and maintain alignment of risk exposures across portfolios.

You will monitor market conditions, report performance relative to benchmarks, and help develop new strategies while collaborating closely with global fixed income staff and sophisticated clients.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of active fixed income portfolio management experience.
• Corporate credit fundamental knowledge.
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and direct investment strategy for NTAM's taxable fixed income team.
• Monitor market conditions and propose investments within a fundamental risk-aware framework.
• Analyze portfolio performance vs benchmarks and report risk-adjusted results.
• Contribute to development of new fixed income strategies and risk factors.
• Design prototypes to systematize investment decision workflows and collaborate with global fixed income staff.
