Job summary

King County is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to join the investment team and manage all aspects of KCIP’s investments. You will partner with the CIO and other managers, oversee liquidity, report performance, and advise on strategic investment plans for the Finance Committee and related divisions.

The role requires deep investment knowledge, experience with fixed income instruments, and strong analytical skills to support monthly reporting and liquidity planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• 6+ years in portfolio management, credit analysis, fixed income instruments, and financial reporting.
• Experience with investment systems such as Bloomberg, BondEdge, Yield Book, Singularity, Clearwater.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily cash management and related investment accounting system functions.
• Interact across teams and respond to clients for accurate and timely resolutions.
• Report on KCIP performance to Executive Finance Committee and FBOD.
• Oversee investment pool distribution process and ensure liquidity targets.
• Collaborate with CIO and portfolio managers on strategy and policy.
