Job summary

Erickson Senior Living's Highland Springs in North Dallas is hiring a Fitness Specialist. You will assess residents, monitor progress, and develop individualized fitness programs to support a vibrant, active senior lifestyle.

You will prescribe exercise plans including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training; educate residents on proper techniques; and help coordinate Wellness programs while keeping the fitness area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-year related work experience.
• Current CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Experience evaluating fitness programs for seniors is a plus.
• Personal Training Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing fitness assessments including vital signs.
• Prescribing an appropriate exercise program, including flexibility, strength, and cardiovascular training.
• Educating and evaluating members on proper exercise techniques.
• Assisting with coordination and implementation of Wellness programs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe fitness area for members.
• Building strong relationships with residents and staff, encouraging them to be physically active.
