unspun is looking for a Senior Firmware & Systems Test Engineer to lead firmware validation for their innovative 3D weaving technology. This hands-on role involves investigating complex issues and ensuring software quality, which directly impacts system uptime and efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience in embedded systems and a structured approach to problem-solving. The position is fully onsite at the microfactory in Emeryville, CA, with occasional travel for customer site visits.

Qualifications

• Experience with embedded systems, robotics, or electromechanical products.
• Validated firmware features for microcontrollers in real-time systems.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting complex system failures.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations on complex issues and drive root cause analysis.
• Maintain performance metrics for firmware and quality issues.
• Develop manual and automated test cases and ensure coverage.
